Whitney Plantation

Co-created by John and Donna Cummings, as well as Dr. Ibrahima Seck, the voiceover introduction by Hill Harper, the Whitney is a life-changing must see! Recently featured in the New York Times Magazine and the location of the med school grads’ photo seen 'round the world, the Whitney Plantation is the first museum in America dedicated to the subject of slavery. Roughly a 45 minute drive, it is an extraordinarily unique place, with the Field of Angels and first person narratives being our favorites. We enthusiastically recommend transportation by Edward of Legendary Tours or Brian at Crescent City Tours.
